About Our Office
Our office is located in the city, in the historic Itallian neighborhood The Hill. This is a convenient location close to downtown and many South City neighborhoods. We’re a smaller dental office that strives to provide a more personalized, unhurried dental experience in a warm and friendly atmosphere, making you feel at home and comfortable. Have you ever been to a dental office where you felt more like a time slot, a body in the chair, and less like a real person? We like to think of ourselves as “the neighborhood dentist” and want to take the time to get to know our patients, not just treat their teeth.
Dr. Allen
Dr. Allen is a 2000 graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. Since graduating from dental school, he has received additional training in cosmetic dentistry and clear aligner therapy (ClearCorrect). He also is continually taking courses to keep up on the latest in dental procedures, materials and technology.
A husband and proud father, Dr Allen and his family are residents of St. Louis. He enjoys bike riding and hiking, and is always on the lookout for a good restaurant. Dr. Allen’s calm nature and gentle touch help put patients at ease and feel comfortable while they are in his care.
Our Treatment Philosophy
What is the easiest way to fix something? Don’t allow it to break in the first place! That is the philosophy behind preventative dentistry. Every big cavity started out as a very small one. Each case of periodontal (gum) disease started out as a little bit of bleeding gums. That is why Dr. Allen believes in regular dental checkups to address problems while they are still small, using minimally invasive restorations and preventative methods. This heads off small problems before they turn into big (and expensive or painful) problems. Don’t wait until it hurts!
